People Care – A Wholistic Approach

Sower Institute for Biblical Discipleship (SIBD), in partnership with Asian Pastoral Institute (API) Adult Christian Education (ACE), is offering a series of discipleship training programmes. Discipleship is a journey, and ACE programmes are structured for such a journeying with you.
Learning Objectives:
- • To help believers develop a wholistic understanding of a person: physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual
- • To learn to show care to the whole person
What is Adult Christian Education?
ACE is the continuing education arm of the Asian Pastoral Institute. ACE offers a comprehensive and systematic approach to life-long learning for believers. It is a structured modular education programme that aims to build the capacity and capability of believers to be disciple-makers for Christ. ACE seeks to equip believers with Attitudes, Skills, Knowledge (ASK) for faithful Christian living and relevant ministry skills to meet present societal needs.
Who to attend?
ACE is for all Christians who aspire to be disciple-makers for Christ and who desire to serve impactfully in their local churches and communities.
Who are the trainers?
API ACE trainers are both professionally and theologically trained graduates with at least a BA or MA in Pastoral Studies. They are also Christian leaders in active service; each coming with extensive ministry, community, and field experience in training and development.
Why the API-ACE People Care Programme?
This series is designed to equip believers with knowledge and skills to care for people in a wholistic manner. Participants will learn to practice self-care and care for others.
What is the duration?
The programme has 7 modules. Modules are non-sequential and have no prerequisites. Each module consists of 10 hours of in-session learning, spread over 5 weeks of 2-hour classes.
What counts for completion of learning?
