Long-term Effects of Trauma: From Childhood to Adulthood

We invite you to an exploration of the intricate interplay between early life experiences and adult mental wellness. Through this workshop, we will unravel the profound impact of childhood family dysfunction and traumatic events such as abuse and neglect, shedding light on their enduring effects well into adulthood. Drawing upon robust research findings and compelling case studies, attendees will gain insights into the underlying mechanisms that link childhood trauma to heightened susceptibility to emotional, behavioural, and social challenges in later life.
By the workshop’s conclusion, participants will be better equipped with a foundational understanding of the links between childhood adversity and adult well-being. With this knowledge, you will be better able to foster genuine empathy and support for individuals who faced past adversities. Join us as we cultivate resilience and compassion together.
